Board the evening Volvo from Delhi and head to Manali. Overnight journey to Manali.
Reach Manali in the morning from where you’ll be transferred to the hotel for freshen up. Post breakfast
and some leisure, we’ll start our journey to the roof of the world. Make your first stop on the way, at
Rohtang Pass. Now continue your journey to Jispa. You are requested to take rest for high altitude
acclimatisation. Overnight stay in Jispa.
Wake up early in the morning. Post breakfast, we’ll continue our journey towards Leh. Enroute you’ll get
to see many breathtaking views which makes you want to stop at every location including Suraj Tal,
Baralacha La, Gata Loops, Lahchungla, Morey Plains, Tanglang La (highest pass on Leh-Manali highway),
etc. Reach Leh late in the evening. Check-in at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Wake up lazy morning. Post breakfast, we’ll head towards Leh – Srinagar highway. The drive further is
one of the most spectacular journeys you will have. From the mountains formed by amalgamation of
various types and textures of rocks to the dazzling, accompanying you all along the journey the white
snow clad peaks, this route gives you an absolute picturesque landscape. Head to visit the Magnetic hill,
Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, Hall of fame, confluence Zanskar Valley point, etc. In evening, we’ll visit the
Shanti Stupa. Bask in the peace amidst this hilltop Stupa and revel in the panoramic view of the city. In
evening, venture out to the city market in evening for a casual stroll. Don’t exert your body, if you are
feeling tired at any time during the day. Visit the Leh Palace to study history about Ladakh if you’re
interested. Return to hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight stay. *Optional - White Water River
Rafting in Zanskar River at Nemo (can be arranged at additional charges if you want to).
After breakfast at the hotel, brace yourself for the splendid drive over the mighty Khardung La – the 2nd
highest motorable pass in the world at a height of 5602 M/ 18,380 ft. Over the route, the road
dramatically plunges, and Shyok and Nubra Rivers unfold magically. You move on via Diskit to reach the
white sands of Hunder. After freshening up, visit the Diskit monastery, which is believed to be the
largest and oldest monastery in Nubra valley, and enjoy the sunset. Overnight in Nubra.
Post breakfast, begin your journey for the day - we’ll retrace our steps past Diskit and then drive back
over Khardung-La to reach Leh in the afternoon from where we’ll visit the Leh Palace. In the evening,
we'll head to Shanti Stupa - bask in the peace amidst this hilltop Stupa and revel in the panoramic view
of the city. The sunset is the perfect backdrop you wished for Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
Wake up early in the morning and we’ll start our journey towards Pangong. Packed breakfast will be
provided. Enroute explore the mound of earthen monastic dwellings, crowned by the Gompa. The valley
is blessed with a beautiful stream flowing through it, originating from the lake, giving a greenish tincture
to the otherwise dry landscape around. Apart from flora this area is rich in fauna too. You can see a lot
of Himalayan Marmots around the area. However, the main attraction of this circuit is the grand
Pangong Tso, which you would reach by early evening. The mesmerizing beauty and the fantastic view
of Tso places it a league above anything you have seen so far. Return to Leh late in the evening. Dinner
and overnight stay in Leh.
*Note - Enroute (if time permits), you can visit the Sindhu Ghat and Thiksey monastery followed by Shey
Post breakfast, we’ll head to Stok village where we’ll visit the well maintained Stok Heritage Museum
(almost 200 years old) run by the royal family itself. The Stok Palace was opened to the public in 1980
with blessings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. This place holds great architectural significance and if
you’re the kind of person who is interested in culture, history and heritage, this place would be heaven
for you. You can sit and relax at the cafe right at the entrance with a panoramic view of the village and
the valley of Singey Sangpo which is popularly known as the Indus River.
*Optional - Trek to Stok Base camp. If you’re an adventure lover and wants to test your endurance,
you’ve come to the right place. Here you’ll see a lot of trekkers going for Stok Kangri Trek. Meet with the
travelers, hear their stories, and follow the trekkers towards Stok base camp with a steep ascent. Return
to Leh in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
After a scrumptious breakfast, complete all the signing out formalities and cab will drop you at Leh
airport. Board the flight and back to home. End of trip.
