Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, is one of the most popular hill stations in India. Lying at the height of 1650 m above sea level, the town during its bright sunny days offers spectacular views of Mt. Kanchenjunga. Gangtok is a base for adventure enthusiasts comprising of trekkers and campers to the Himalayan mountain ranges. During the months of March to Mid-May, blooming of wild Rhododendrons transform the surrounding regions in vast fields of colourful carpets. Its name meaning hill-top, Gangtok can be safely said to be one of the most beautiful hill stations in the country.
Darjeeling one of the most beautiful hill stations in Eastern part of India. Spread over a steep mountain ridge, nestled amidst acres of lush green tea plantations, Darjeeling stands at the height of 2,050 meters above sea level, thus boasting of cool climes all year round. This scenic hill station is the perfect getaway for a romantic honeymoon and is just around 700 kilometres away from Kolkata.
Once you reach the NJP/Bagdogra, you will be received by our representative with a warm welcome. He will drive you to Gangtok. Check in at the hotel. Freshen up and take some rest. Remaining day at leisure. In the evening, you can visit the MG Marg, the main street of Gangtok. Overnight stay at the hotel.
After a delicious breakfast, embark on a journey to explore the famous attractions of Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. Start for a Full day city tour covering Tashi view point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Flower show, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre, Institute of Tibetology, Dro-dul Chorten, Gunjang Monastery & Bhaktang Water Falls (maximum 6 hours). Overnight stay at Gangtok.
In the Morning after breakfast at hotel start for Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir nearly 40 kilometers - The Lake is oval shaped lake nearly 50 feet deep - Generally covered in snow for most of the year – This lake is home to the Brahmini ducks & many migratory birds – Nearby is the sacred Baba Mandir known to be a very holy site for all - Nathula Pass to Republic of China is nearly 20 kilometers and is optional tour - Back to hotel in Gangtok - Evening free to roam around M G Road (Mall) or local Shopping center - Over Night stay at Gangtok. (In case of Land slide or any other reason Tsomgo Lake is closed we will provide alternate sightseeing.) Note: You can also visit Nathula Pass on the same day at an additional cost. Nathula Pass is a great destination for adventure and mountain lovers as it is one of the highest motorable passes in the world. It is also an old trading border post connecting Tibet and India.
After breakfast, start your journey to Darjeeling, the Queen of Hills. Once you reach Darjeeling, our representative will assist you to check in at the hotel at Darjeeling. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Early Morning (at 04:00 am) drive to Tiger hill (8,400 ft.) to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzongha (28,208 ft. Worlds 3rd highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view), Ropeway and Japanese Temple. Evening free for shopping or leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling. Note: Toy Train can be done on the same day at an additional cost.
Today marks the end of your tour! Check out from the hotel and depart for NJP/IXB with great memories.
